Homegardens for improved livelihoods
I would like to develop and promote horticultural crops-based homegardens for improved food and nutritional security of small scale farmers in Amhara region, Ethiopia. A participatory action research is required that encompasses the whole spectrum of constraint identification to technology development and supply as well as instill skills to growers on technological itineraries and propagation techniques. The Institute for Water Quality, Resource and Waste Management of Vienna University of Technology (Austria) offers its collaboration in a research project under the ACP Science and Technology Programme.
